I know now the decision about Ewa. She got 0 points scoring cause of cloud flying.

Dziś znów zła pogoda. Przez deszcz konkurencja została odwołana.

Mam informacje co do Ewy. Dostała 0 punktów za latanie w chmurach.

No task for today - strong Foehn (wind from south)
I found on dhv server that Ewas flight from the first day was protested. Decision in progres.

Nie poszla konkurencja - Foehn (silny wiatr z południa)
Na stronie dhv pisza, ze lot Ewy zostal oprotestowany. Decyzja jeszcze nie zapadla.

The weather dosn’t look too good for the rest of the weak. I hoppe gays will have any chans to get in to the air more. In betwen here you have some as alwyas great photos made by Martin Scheel on first day of competitions.

Pogoda na reszte tygodnia nie wyglada najlepiej. Ciekawe czy uda sie jeszcze wzbic w powietrze. W miedzyczasie kilka jak zawsze swietnych zdjec z pierwszej konkurencji autorstwa Martina Scheela. Zwrodcie uwage na niebo.

I’m not on place but thanks to my informer I will tell you wat wos going on.
Fun was predicted for late after nun so it was decided to fly 38 km task with 2 turn point in the Grindelwald walleye and 2 over Interlaken. Probably it was spectacular 40 pilot arriving in goal in the middle of the town.
I was tolled that there where only 30 minutes between window open and start of task. It wouldn’t be nothing strange or bad if conditions on the tae off where good, but there was back wind, some times even strong or side wind from right - in to this direction isn’t possible to take of cause of fence and cliff. And there is still snow on the slowp. I herd there where many spectacular take offs and even some with bad luck. There where many complains after.
During the flight where week thermals and after non. So only some pilots of first group got some how easy to get the goal. Thus who got low and stay in back got it to difficult situation and even didn’t cross the goal line.
First in goal where Venezuelan Michael von Waechter and first woman German Ewa Wisnierska.
For tomorrow should be fun so we will see if they will fly.

Nie jestem na miejscu , ale mój dobry informator doniósł mi co się dziś w Grindelwald działo, więc wam opowiem.
Na późne popołudnie zapowiadano nadejście wiatru fun. Postanowiono zatem rozłożyć krótką konkurencje o długości 38 km z 2 punktami zwrotnymi w dolinie Grindelwald i 2 nad Interlaken z meta w centrum. Musiało to być niesamowicie widowiskowe kiedy 40 pilotów nadleciało nad miasteczko i wylądowało prawie w jego centrum.
Ponoć między otwarciem okna i startu było jedynie 30 minut. Nie było by w tym nic dziwnego, gdyby nie fakt, ze warunki jakie panowały na startowisku nie należały do idealnych. Wiało chwilami nawet mocno z tylu lub z prawej strony, start w która jest niemożliwy ze względu na drut kolczasty osłaniający klif. Do tego nadal leży na nim śnieg. Podobno kilku pilotów zaliczyło parę spektakularnych startów, a niektóre z nich skończyły się nawet kiepsko. Podobno padło wiele protestów.
W powietrzu też nie było kolorowo. Kominy najpierw słabe z czasem zanikły i tylko cześć pilotów lecąca z przodu miała szansę dolecieć na metę. Jeśli ktoś spadł niżej i został w tyle nie miał już na to szans.
Wygrał Wenezuelczyk Michael von Waechter, a pierwsza kobieta była Ewa Wiśnierska.
Na jutro zapowiadają fun wiec zobaczymy co będzie.

Today is first day of Paragliding Word Cup in Swiss and what I do? I’m at home in Warsaw. Pity I don’t live in Bern anymore. It would be much easier. Just check the weather and decide where to go: to the train station to drive to Grindelwald or to library to prepper for exams. Unfortunately weather forecast is so bad we decided to stay at home and wait if it improves. This weak I have 2 exams and I was already thinking how to explain way I will not attend. Now, when I see what weather is supposed to do, I have clear chose. I stay and study. It’s my last month on university and I need be care fool. In seam time I’m observing meteograms and weather maps and we whole are prepared to jump in to the car and go. I’m thinking to catch some last minuet flight if weather predictions change. For now: books and studies.
I will kip you informed.

Bad news. We can’t go cause our team mate got sick and we where supposed to go with hem. Now we dont have transportation and me with my car will never manage in so short time. So there is one more reason to not go at hole.

Dziś pierwszy dzień Pucharu Świata w Szwajcarii – dzień treningowy i rejestracja. A gdzie ja jestem? W domu w Warszawie. Pewnie pomyślicie „Jak to?” A tak. Prognozy są tak fatalne, ze szkoda gadać, do tego dowalono mi w ostatniej chwili dwa egzaminy na przyszły tydzień, a z uwago na to, że to mój ostatni miesiąc na uczelni nie mogę tego zawalić. Już się od tygodnia martwię, jak się po raz kolejny wykręcić i wytłumaczyć profesorom, ze znów mnie nie będzie. Teraz sprawa wygląda banalnie: siedzę, zakuwam i tylko kontroluje, czy pogoda się nie poprawia. W razie, czego łapię jakieś last minuet, wskakuje do samolotu i lecę. Sądząc, po tym co dziś widziałam na wszystkich serwerach pogodowych, ze raczej nic takiego się nie wydarzy.
Za to w Polsce szykuje się warun i może czas bym tu cos polatała.
Będę trzymała was na bieżąco.

An other sunny morning i Poggio. We go up to the take of tiered after yesterday but fool of wish to fly today too. Unfortunately there was too much wind from north-east. We waited it to degrees. But when so strong dust devil came that took glider with harness in the air, we lost hope for flying today. With smile and sadness in the seam moment we observed glider pack sack flying away in to the cloud base. It was time to finish this comp. this evening price giving ceremony. After we drive home.

Kolejny słoneczny dzień w Poggio. Jedziemy na gore, zmęczeni po wczorajszym dniu ale pełni nadziei na kolejne latanie. Niestety okazuje się, że wieje zbyt mocny wiatr z północnego-wschodu co uniemożliwia latanie. Postanowiono poczekać i zobaczyć czy wiatr ni osłabnie ale po tym, jak dust devil porwał glajta, wraz w przypiętą uprzężą i elektroniką. Glajta udało się uratować. Długo jeszcze obserwowaliśmy odlatujący w dal worek od glajta. Czas nadszedł zakończyć zawody. Wieczorem jeszcze ceremonia rozdania nagród i wracamy do domku.

An another sunny morning In Loggio Bustone. Task comity decided for longer task and sated 113 km. Just after wind dames took off we sow it was bereave decision. Way hardly stay in the air. Some pilots decided to go and they have flown around on take off or lower altitude. Nearly nothing went up. Finely we hole where in the air. I scratched n the mountain and felt almost to landing, where I managed to climbed up from. Something weary sad happened just in front of my now’s. One of glider clasped, got cravat and after short fight felt hardly on the hill between bushes. Lucky he didn’t killed hem self. But I was in shock. I managed to concentrate again and started to follow the task. First gaggle was so hay above me and I couldn’t get to them. Only after 2 turn point I managed to get under cloud base and I decided to not lose the altitude any more. I was obvious it doesn’t matter today who is faster. It’s only important who get the goal and who not.
After some wail I realized that I have not enough clothiers on me. It was so cold up there. I beloved it must be below 0 degree. Clouds on 3300 m and snow on the mountains below. Hole the way I have flown my way and it was good. It was amusing flight. But on the end I got so cold and tiered I decided to live weary turbulent and strong mountain climbs and went straight tru the valley to goal. I got only 20km glide. I new I risk a lot (to not get the goal) but I was afraid I will risk much more to fly so tired to this raff air further in the mountains. Finely I hit north-east see braise, which comes in to the land up here and I stay 12 km of the goal. Landing backwards in the carrot field I wasn’t thinking about nothing than hot tea and some food to worm up. I was happy to, to fly my first 100km this year.
W got back to HQ vary late so results come tomorrow.

Kolejny słoneczny dzień w Poggio Bustone. Rozłożono ambitną, jak się później okazało, konkurencje o długości 113km. Zaraz po starcie przedskoczków zobaczyliśmy jaka ciężka walka nas czeka. Ledwo utrzymywali się na wysokości startu. Ci którzy startowali jako pierwsi nie mieli lekkiego zadania i walczyli nisko w parterze. Ja także wykręciłam się prawie z łąki na której miałam zamiar już ładować. W końcu zaczęło trochę działać, kiedy na moich oczach jeden z glejtów dostał klapę, krawata i po krótkiej walce wpadł miedzy kaszaki na zbocze. Wyglądało to naprawdę groźnie. Na szczęście się nie ubił. Mocno zszokowana musiałam się teraz pozbierać i wałczyć dalej. Dopiero po 2 punkcie zwrotnym udało mi się wykręcić podstawę chmur i postanowiłam jej już nie opuszczać. Niestety mocno przeliczyłam się z ubraniem. Nie sądziłam, ze podstawy sięgną, aż tak wysoko (3300) i że będzie, aż tak pioruńsko zimno. Cala drogę leciałam po swojemu i raczej dobrze na tym wyszłam. Na 20 km od mety zrobiła się jednak taka turbulencja w górach, że z uwagi na wyziębienie i obniżoną już koncentracje postanowiłam pociąć na skuśki do mety przez pola. Niestety 12 km przed meta dopadła mnie bryza morska, która tu wdziera się w ląd i posadziła w polu marchwi. Jedyne o czym marzyłam to gorąca herbatka i cos do jedzenia. Niestety na to przyszło mi czekac jeszcze 3 godziny.
Do HQ wróciliśmy grubo po 23 wiec wyniki jutro.
