PWC Bulgaria task 2

In the morning there where still some clouds on the sky. It didn’t look very promising, but when we went up it was sunny again. Only the wind was stronger from the back and there was mo mouser in the air. Task of 86 km was decided. First turn point further east than yesterday after one turn point in the small hills in the south back to north and with one safety turn point goal over the lift. After the start I choose wrong line and fill low. I needed to win back the altitude and it took a lot of time. Mean gaggle was already long time away. But they have chosen to fly thru the mountains and it was much longer and slower way. I decided for short cut and with a lot of risk because I was alone I went for it. Luckly for me it did work and soon I was flying with others. Way to the 2 turn point was tricky and slow after I made cloud base was easy to get more in to front. On the glide to the last turn point I decide to speed up and hoped for my usual thermal over Karlevo. Orlin was just in front of me and he got the seam idea. We push forward passing many pilots thermaling on the way. When I was 6 km to goal task was stopped due to strong north wind and to turbulent conditions on the goal. I think I was in front of other girls when it was stopped. We see on the results.

Dziś rano niebo zasnute było chmurami I nie wyglądało na to, że dziś polatamy coś specjalnego. Kiedy jednak wyjechaliśmy na górę wyszło słonko, tylko wiatr wiał mocniej z tyłu niż wczoraj. Rozłożono konkurencję o długości 86 km z pierwszym punktem znacznie dalej na wschód niż wczoraj, następnie polecieliśmy na południe i po jeszcze jednym punkcie zwrotnym na północy dolot do mety pod wyciągiem po punkcie bezpieczeństwa. Startowanie było niezmiernie stresujące i trzeba było długo czekać na TEN moment. W końcu znalazłam się w powietrzu i szybko zrobiłam podstawę. Niestety po starcie wybrałam złą na dziś linię i straciłam sporo w stosunku do innych. Zabrało mi to na tyle długo, żeby się dostać spowrotem pod podstawę, że wszyscy mi uciekli. Polecieli jednak po górach co był o wiele dłuższą i wolniejszą drogą. Postanowiłam więc polecieć na skróty i się udało ich dogonić. Ponieważ miedzy pierwszym i drugim punktem nie było za dobrze z kominami, po zrobieniu podstawy udało mi się nadrobić całą stratę. Na dolocie do mety postanowiłam znacznie przyspieszyć i poleciałam za Orlonem. Mieliśmy parę grupek kręcących kominy, bo lecieliśmy na naszego pewniaka. Właśnie dolatywałam do tego miejsca kiedy ogłoszono, że konkurencja została zatrzymana. Chyba wyprzedziłam inne dziewczyny dzięki temu mykowi więc może jestem pierwsza. Reszta po ogłoszeniu wyników.
