There I am in Slovenja i Preddvor. Today was first day of Nordic Open and we tried to fly a task but rain and tuner storm damaged our plan. Some people got very wet and landed more than less safe. I was little late to take off, because there was 15 min from briefing to window open and during this 15 min we where still explained where are the dangerous places on the task. There was no wind on the take off and no sun as well. We where under big dark cloud. After taking off we sink a lot and then I got in to the sun and cud climb again. When I got altitude to cross the valley for start cylinder, I sow cloud under which I was supposed to go for one of the next turn point and decided to go to land immediately. This cloud was typical Cb. I made my decision just on time. MD made this decision 10 min after me. When I landed and made my glider together it started to rain. As I said before many pilots weren’t that lucky and got wet in the air. One even felt down because of wet glider. One other got for 800 m in to the parachuting before he managed to fly again. It is a reason I’m kipping wandering, way do we go to the take off if there is high possibility of thunderstorms. Way having a task became more important than pilots safety?
When I started to compete and it was 5 years ago, to go for competitions was the most safe way off flying. As not experienced pilot I knew I can rely on other more experience pilots and MD. This days it’s not like that any more. They don’t feel any responsibility of what they do and carry no responsibility if something happen. They are fully covered by you fly on your own risk and should make decisions by your self.
In my opinion it shouldn’t be like this. Work of MD is to observe conditions (what very often is not possible from the sky) and stop or cancel the task if necessary. And doing it on time so every one have chance to land safe.

Other thing is that I have negative opinion about the way the briefing was ran yesterday: MD said the there are some rules about airspace but he don’t rely care if we will brake it, MD forgot to set task comity and safety comity. There was no weather briefing.
I don’t want event to think if the reason for it was that this weeks instability is so high that you have perfect Cb within 30 min and there is no chance you get on time down. I rather to think he forgot as every thing else.
